North Dakota Hockey Officials Association

Officiating Youth Hockey

Officiating youth hockey is a great place to start your officiating career and stay apart of the game. If you have any questions or are thinking about starting, call your district supervisors at any time.

Certification Process
If you are ready to move ahead with the certification process, go to the Certification tab on the left for more information on how to register for the upcoming season.

The first step in becoming and official is to register online as an ice official at www.usahockey.com. All officials MUST register with USA Hockey, attend an official's seminar, and pass the recquired exams each season to become certified.

Under 13 Officials

Any parent of a child under 13 years-of-age who wishes to register their son/daughter for an officiating seminar must create a profile for the child. It will ask for a birth date; please enter yours (adults), as the system will not allow 13 or younger to sign up on own.  From there you should be able to access the Seminar Catalog.
